How do I get started?

Most utilities have implemented some parts of Asset Management. Determining what is already in place and what needs to be added, or establishing your baseline, is a good way to start. The AM IQ can help you establish your baseline. Once you have an understanding of what you are already accomplishing, your utility can decide to continue to work in areas with existing knowledge, work in an area where not much effort has been invested, or do a bit of both.
